Domestic Hot Water Circuit Configuration

If the DHW and space heating loads are met by separate boilers then the part load efficiencies can be specified here. If these two loads are met by the same boiler then the tank details will be entered on this screen.

Important information will include insulation conductivity and thickness, volume, and height as these data are used to determine storage losses.

If the DHW circuit has a second tank for solar hot water then the tank whose heat is supplied by the boiler is called the primary tank and the tank for solar hot water is called the secondary tank.

  1. Drag and drop all of the zones onto the domestic hot water circuit.

  2. The distribution efficiency will be modelled as 95% in this example.
